Analyst Comments

Very positive technical set-up with shares having made a strong bullish bounce and breakout. Insurance sector (non-life) seeing a revival of interest (Oct highs). Strong dividend yield (5.8%) makes the shares attractive to those seeking both income and capital appreciation. New CFO on his way over from PRU. Reversal of Ogden discount rate rule forthcoming. M&A in sector (AA/Hastings).

Consensus is biased bearish but, with the shares having resumed their uptrend, this may see some of the neutrals /negatives turn more bullish, especially with the consensus target corresponding with 2017 rising support. Upward revisions to targets required?
