Antofagasta PLC (ANTO.L) – Reported H1 Revenue climbed 41.9% at $2,049m, as realised copper prices increased by 25.3%, sales volumes increased by 14.3%, earnings were up 88% due to higher revenues and profit before tax revenues climb over 150% y-o-y. Closing price 954.50p (Reuters)

John Wood Group PLC (WG.L) – Reported adjusted earnings per share for H1 of 2017 that missed the average analyst’s estimate. 22.9c per share missed a 23c per share average. H1 earnings missed and revenue also missed expectations by more than 3%. Closing price 574.50p (Bloomberg)

Persimon PLC (PSN.L) – Legal completions increased 8% to 7,794, with an additional 556 new homes delivered. The average selling price of £213,262 climbed 4% higher and it committed itself to a higher dividend of 110pp share until 2021. Closing price 2556.00p (Bloomberg)

Provident Financial PLC (PFG.L) – After falling yesterday fell to a 3-year low, today announces it is withdrawing its interim dividend “in view of the substantial deterioration in the trading performance of the home credit business, together with the uncertainty created by the FCA’s investigation at Vanquis Bank”. CEO Peter Crook to step down with immediate effect. Closing price 1745.00p (Bloomberg)
