Cable & Wireless (CWC.L) – would step up investment in its networks in the Caribbean and Central America in a bid to return to revenue growth and improve earnings. Posted a 5% increase in full-year core earnings to $608 million on like-for-like revenue of $1.87 billion, down 1%. Closing price 54.4p. (Reuters)

Britvic (BVIC.L) – Posted a 13.5% rise in first half operating profit and said its Fruit Shoot roll-out in the United States had now gone nationwide. Operating profit for the 28 weeks to April 13th had risen to £59m, slightly ahead of consensus forecasts of £57.67m. Closing price 694.5p. (Reuters)

SSE (SSE.L) – Reported a 9.6% increase in 2014 full-year adjusted pretax profit, rising to a better-than-expected £1.55bn ($2.63bn) boosted by a strong performance in its electricity transmission operations. Closing price 1568p. (Reuters)

Burberry (BRBY.L) – Met forecasts with an 8% rise in annual profit, though it reiterated that if foreign exchange rates remain at current levels there will be a material impact on 2014-15 profit. The full year dividend was 32p, up 10%. Closing price. (Reuters)
