Allergan (AGN) – confirmed that company does not intend to make an offer for Shire Plc, despite rumours. (DowJones)
Barclays (BARC) – UK regulators (FCA, PRA) announced that Barclays CEO Jes Staley will be fined, but not banned, over his order to identify a whistleblower. The bank itself will not be sanctioned and the board expressed its support for the embattled CEO. Size of the fine will be determined after Staley had a chance to respond to regulator warning letter.
