Barratt Developments (BDEV) – The UK 100 Housebuilder has announced a record start to their new fiscal year, as forward sales improve 8.3%. The board has recommended a total dividend payout of £348m (£173m final dividend and £175m special dividend) to be voted on at the company’s AGM.
BT (BT.A) – The telecoms giant has proposed a drastic overhaul of its pension scheme in order to substantially lower contributions for 21,000 staff.
Gocompare.com (GOCO) – Gocompare rejected a 110p per share offer from ZPG, the parent company of Zoopla and Money.co.uk. The company stated that the offer undervalued the company. Shares rallied as much as 12% yesterday afternoon after Sky News first reported the offer.
Rolls-Royce Holdings (RR.) – Airbus is expected to sign a deal worth $40bn for the sale of around 400 A320 jets to US investor Bill Franke, one of the largest deals in history. Rolls-Royce is part of the consortium that supplies engines for the aircraft.
