The below stocks have been identified as having potential to register bigger than normal share price moves (up or down) today based on the news cited

Acacia Mining (ACA) – In the company’s third quarter production update, it announced that Gold production was below expectations, as expected, due to the ongoing Tanzanian production ban. Acacia’s Q3 results are released on 20 October.

BHP Billiton & Rio Tinto (BLT & RIO) – Both Australian dual-listed base metals miners are trading lower overnight as China cuts steel production. BHP is 1.6% lower while Rio is 1.4% weaker (as of 7:30am BST).

easyJet (EZJ) – The Deutsche Lufthansa CEO overnight stated he expects that his company will acquire 81 jets from the now defunct Air Berlin.

Sky (SKY) – The broadcaster and internet provider saw a 50% increase in Q1 subscribers thanks to the popularity of HBO’s Game of Thrones, becoming its most watched show ever, helping revenues increase by 5% while EBITDA increased by 11%. No update on the proposed Fox merger was provided.
