Markets Overview:

 

UK 100 called to open +22 points this morning at 6000.   It was once again an all green session on Wall Street Thursday despite House Speaker Nancy Pelosi saying that she would reject any standalone aid packages for the airline industry.  The Dow Jones gained 122 points, 0.43%, for its third positive session in the past four, The S&P gained 27 points, 0.80%, also delivering its third positive session in four. The Nasdaq Composite gained 56 points, 0.50%.  While The Russell 2,000 gained 1.09%, for its sixth positive session in seven.  Elsewhere overnight, the Caixin survey of Chinese services for September came in at 54.8 – the highest level in three months. The Hang Seng index in Hong Kong was down 3 points at 24,190 on Friday, while elsewhere in Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 was off 78 points at 23,564.

Biffa announces they have acquired 100% of the share capital of Camo ltd for £35m.
 
British Land have said they will resume paying dividends in November and that it was in active talks with its tenants over rent payments.

Centrica has agreed with trade unions not to force through changes to terms and conditions via legal processes this year, in return for unions agreeing not to ballot for industrial action this month.
 
Stagecoach maintains FY outlook as they report that their guidance is unchanged.
