Markets Overview:

 

The UK 100 is called to open -15 points this morning at 7372.   The UK 100 looks set to open in negative territory with economic growth fears, inflation, rising interest rates and the Ukraine conflict driving sentiment.  This morning, Asia’s main markets set the tone with the slowdown in China adding to yet more Covid restrictions.  However, it was Japan’s main index that fared the worst as the Nikkei lost more than 2% of its value.  On Friday, inflation concerns hit Wall Street once more, The S&P shed 0.57% to close at 4,123.34, while the Nasdaq fell 1.40% to settle at 12,144.66 & The Dow shed 98.60 points, or 0.30%, to finish at 32,899.37.
