The UK 100 is called to open +34 points at at 10,881. The UK 100 is expected to open modestly higher on Wednesday, with futures pointing to a gain of around 34 points, or 0.3%, after the index closed Tuesday at 10,886.16.
The S&P rose slightly Tuesday, as Treasury yields fell for a second day. A rally in semiconductor stocks lifted the Nasdaq. The broader index gained 0.32% to close at 7,677.28, while the Nasdaq advanced 0.66% to 26,151.30. The Dow Jones was up 160.24 points, or 0.3%, to close at 53,577.40 and notch its third straight winning session.
Asian markets were broadly positive, with Japan’s Nikkei 225, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng all gaining around 0.7%.
