Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open -67 points at at 10,390.
The UK 100 looks set to open lower this morning, this comes after comments from Donald Trump last night saying he was in no rush to reach a deal with Iran, he did however announce an extension to the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon for a further three weeks.

Stocks pulled back Stateside on Thursday, led by a drop in software and higher oil prices, as investor uncertainty toward the trajectory of the Iran war hovered over the market.

The S&P traded down 0.41% to close at 7,108.40, after earlier hitting a new all-time intraday high. The tech-heavy Nasdaq declined 0.89% to finish at 24,438.50. It had also scored a new all-time high in the session. The Dow Jones lost 179.71 points, or 0.36%, to finish at 49,310.32.

Asian stocks were mostly lower and oil prices extended their gains Friday as talks on ending the war between the U.S. and Iran remained stalled.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 gained 0.6% to 59,504.22, led by heavy buying of technology stocks. On Thursday, it hit a record intraday high above 60,000.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 0.8% to 25,714.99, while the Shanghai Composite index fell 0.5% to 4,071.52.

South Korea’s Kospi shed 0.4% to 6,452.33.  In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 declined 0.6% to 8.745.00.

Taiwan’s Taiex jumped 2.5% as chipmaker TSMC, which makes up a key part of the index, gained more than 4%.
