Markets Overview:

The UK 100 is called to open +67 points this morning at 7300. The UK 100 looks set for a rebound this morning following a difficult session yesterday, thanks in main to calming comments from Fed chair Jerome Powell, who stuck to the 0.50% rate hike script overnight, temporarily dispelling 0.75% nerves.  In the US, the Dow Jones slipped 103 points to 31,730 while the S&P 500 dipped 5 points to 3,930, having reversed early losses, as a semblance of calm descended on Wall Street into the close.  Asian markets are mostly higher this morning with Japan’s Nikkei 225 669 points heavier at 26,418 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index 387 points to the good at 19,767.
