UK 100 is called to open +8 points this morning at 7095. The UK blue-chip index looks set to start on the front foot today as investors concerns over interest rate hikes seem to be easing after inflation data in the US yesterday. In focus today will be UK GDP figures later. Stateside yesterday saw modest gains The Dow Jones rose by just 19 points to 34,466 while the S&P 500 added 20 points at 4,239. In Asia this morning, positive sentiment seemed to gain momentum as Japan’s Nikkei rose 21 points to trade at 28,980 while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index was 107 points to the good at 28,846.
BT: Billionaire Patrick Drahi’s Altice UK has taken a 12.1% stake in the telecommunications firm.
Domino’s Pizza CFO Neil Smith is to step down with effect from Nov 26th.
