Company News:

Antofagasta reported a fall in HY profit, as higher costs, lower copper grades and a persistent drought in Chile hit its copper production. EBITDA for H1 came in at $1.24bn, compared with $2.4bn last year.
Coca-Cola HBC incurred a one-time hit of 190m euros in H1 due to costs related to its business in Russia after it stopped the sale of Coca-Cola drinks in the country following the Ukraine war. They also expect to sustain financial charges of about 82m euros in H2 as they depleted all their stocks and would no longer produce or sell Coca-Cola or other brands of the Coca-Cola company in Russia. They reported a 34% fall in net profit to £153m euros for H1, hit by the charges.
Entain report that their HY group EBITDA increased by 17% to £471m.
NatWest estimates a charge of £56m in Q3 from tender offer.
Petrofac report a HY net loss of $14m as their performance was in line with guidance.

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary says there won’t be any super cheap fares (priced at 1-10 euros) for a “number of years” due to soaring fuel prices.
