Major Support & Resistance (pivot points – explained):
Pivot: 6462; Support: 6435, 6375, 6326; Resistance: 6545, 6593, 6654
A combination of some strong macro data and a more conservative approach to Syria saw the UK 100 eventually break above 6500 which has provided difficult over the last 3 weeks. However, we are yet to see a convincing break above recent highs of 6520 which could again prove to be a level of resistance. With US markets closed yesterday there was little chance to react to the mega deal between Vodafone and Verizon so we will keep our eye on the US markets today to see if there is an element of catch-up to be had. A sustainable break above 6520 could see the UK Index push on to 6545 and then we could see an attack of the 6600 level.
