UK BANK STRESS TESTS TOMORROW!

  • Results to be released at 7am tomorrow.
  • Stress tests focus on a few key risks – such as credit risk, market risk, and liquidity risk – to banks’ financial health in crisis situations. Basically, to determine whether a bank has enough capital to withstand the impact of adverse developments.
  • The BoE is testing how resilient Britain’s biggest eight lenders would be in the face of a slump in house prices and higher interest rates
  • Banks have been warned that any leaks of results before Tuesday could result in a fine
