Equities indices are offside into the end of the week, continuing to digest yesterday’s ECB inaction and what it means for global monetary policy as well as an overnight heightening of geopolitical risk thanks to North Korea testing its red button capabilities for a second time in just 9 months. While the ECB decision is potentially a wise move, before central bank peers update later this month, North Korea’s is just destined to worsen already tense international relations and heavy sanctions.
The UK 100 is back from today’s 6860 highs, still in a downtrend for the week. The DAX 30 has made another bounce at 10600 off the rising support of a narrowing pattern. Dow Jones futures are selling back from 1-month falling highs, testing 18450 support. Gold’s sell-off from 2-month falling highs sees it testing $1335 support.
