UK 100 Index Focus – 27 May - 27 May 2014

Major Support & Resistance (pivot points – explained):

Pivot Point: 6836; Support 1, 2 & 3: 6813, 6799, 6785; Resistance 1, 2 & 3: 6841, 6855, 6869

The recovery from Friday’s lows may have continued, but the 6850 zone has reared its ugly head as a hurdle again, daily momentum has broken below the trendline of rising support and RSI on the 3-month hourly has fallen back from a near visit to overbought. All eyes on whether rising 3-day lows at 6825 hold up.

The index is still trying higher, helped by global optimism in continued stimulus to support growth. In terms of index impact, HSBC’s strength is helping offsetting AZN’s weakness this morning. All eyes on US data and ECB President Draghi speaking this afternoon to give the market a bit more direction.
