AstraZeneca PLC (AZN.L) – Recordati has entered into an agreement with AstraZeneca for the  acquisition of the rights to Seloken, the angina and cardiovascular drug. The consideration for the acquisition of the assets is $300m. In addition, royalties for the use of the existing product brands will be due to AstraZeneca for an agreed period and will be funded by existing liquidity and available credit lines. UK 100 ( UK 100 Cash), The Dow Jones (Wall Street Cash), De DAX (Germany 30 Cash) – EU ministers meet in Brussels today to refine their Brexit negotiating position after the U.K. threatened to quit talks on its departure unless the bloc drops its demands for a divorce payment as high as €100bn. Keep a watchful eye on sterling today as any breakdown in negotiations could see the UK currency impacted. Current levels 7,498pts, 20,843pts, 12,676pts (Bloomberg / Accendo Markets)

BP PLC (BP.L), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSb.L), Cairn Energy PLC, Premier Oil PLC (PMO.L), Tullow Oil PLC (TLW.L) – Oil futures jumped more than 5% last week amid the prospects of an extended production-cut agreement coming out of this week’s OPEC meeting, prices climb further in early Asian trading. The move, building on gains a week earlier, have pushed crude to its best levels in more than a month. We wait for deal details come out on Thursday.
