Movers & Shakers - 19 May 2017

The below stocks have been identified as having potential to register bigger than normal share price moves (up or down) today based on the news cited

Centamin (CEY.L), Fresnillio (FRES.L), Hochschild Mining (HOC.L), Randgold Resources (RRS.L) – Gold prices ticked up in Asia following an overnight pullback in the US dollar and some easing to midweek risk-off sentiment. Expectations of a June rate hike, which is liable to weigh on prices and safe-haven demand due to political tensions may continue to support gold depending on how events unfold. Legal & General (LGEN.L) – Saw year results for 2016-end, Solvency II surplus of £5.7bn and coverage ratio of 171%, an increase of 22% following a year of record new business for Legal & General including £7.0bn of new annuity sales.  The Group’s diversified business model delivered total Solvency II new business strain of £96m for the year. Closing price 250.90p (Bloomberg)

Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (HIK.L) – Expect full year group revenue to be in the range of $2.0bn to $2.1bn in constant currency in 2017, updating its guidance and cutting revenue expectations for its generics business – which includes its version of Advair Diskus – as it experiences increased price erosion on marketed products. Closing price 1700.00p (Reuters)
