Tesco (TSCO.L) – Posted a 55% slump in H1 profit. It made an operating profit of £354m beating analysts’ expectations for the six months to Aug. 29 compared to £779m made over the same period in previous year. Closing price 192.15p (Reuters)

Antofagasta (ANTO.L) –  The operational division of the company, said it was reducing its workforce by around 7% in order to cut costs, the latest victim of the recent rout in the copper market. Closing price 537.00p (Reuters)

SAB Miller (SAB.L) – Brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev raised its offer to buy the world’s No. 2 brewer SABMiller plc to £42.15 per share in cash. Closing price 3622p. (Reuters)

Rolls Royce (RR.L) – Plans to introduce more competition into the engine overhaul network for its Trent engines that power wide-body airliners, a senior executive said. Closing price 738p. (Reuters)
